Japan is home to some of the most famous tea growing regions, such as Kyoto and Shizuoka.
We at GTM are proud to present organic Japanese tea from Miyazaki in Kyushu, located in the southern part of Japan.

We visited tea farmer Mr. Kawano, who cultivates the finest teas by researching high-quality soil and naturally derived fertilizers without the use of chemical fertilizers, and we were given a special share of the rare tea leaves he produces.

The quality of the tea he produces is so high that it was served to the heads of countries at the G7 Hiroshima Summit in 2023.

“The soil in my fields is edible,” Mr. Kawano says.

“It is like a sister to the finest wineries in my country,” said the French ambassador about the soil of the tea plantation after visiting the tea farm.

His pesticide-free farm is always surrounded by many birds chirping because various species, including insects feeding them are living in and forming a good ecosystem.
With warm sunlight and a gentle breeze blowing from the sea, a wealth of nature spreads out here.
